Our Work
Voices Rising: Refugee-led Solutions Conference 2023
The Voices Rising Consortium held the first ever refugee-led conference at Kakuma Refugee Camp, Kenya in September 2023. This conference was hosted, organized, and fundraised by refugee leaders.

The theme of the conference was: Empowering Communities, Fostering Collaboration & Changing Narratives

Voices Rising: Refugee-led Solutions Webinar
In February 2024, the Local Engagement Refugee Research Network (LERRN) at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada hosted the Voices Rising team and fellow panelists to discuss the outcomes of the first-ever refugee led conference at Kakuma Refugee Camp.

The panelists will provide an overview of the event including the four panel discussions, the conference report and its recommendations, and the partners commitments to upholding the Global Compact for Refugees.
Project Management Capacity Training
The objective of this training was to strengthen capacities of program leads in the identified capacity gaps to improve Refugee-led Organizations (RLO) and Community-based Organizations (CBO) responses. Additionally, it was to equip program leads with a comprehensive understanding of organization management frameworks, principles, methodologies, and best practices to enhance developmental growth of RLOs and CBOs.
